Takes a while to read a disc initially, but overall a great quality up-scaling DVD player with all the standard features and more.

I love the resolution on this player when scaling. The best part of the player though is its capability to resume where you left the dvd last.

Product is not reliable. Had this unit for 4 months only and seldom used since we have several DVD players around the house. Recently every DVD movie played within the unit looked greenish. The same DVD played in other units looked normal in other DVD players in our home. It does not have full 1 year warranty as I thought it had. Rating: - Zoom icon will not go away!
When watching an anamorphic widescreen DVD, you need to use the zoom button on the remote to get the video to fill the screen. But there is a bright blue "X2" magnifying glass icon on the top right of the screen that will not go away. It is very distracting and there is no on-screen display OFF setting. Google "dvp-ns77h zoom icon" for more on this problem and no resolution from Sony.
Rating: - Worked for less than one year!
More and more of these players are being made like they're disposable! Had this for about 7 months when the "loading" flashing began and a month later it wouldn't play anything at all. A waste of money.
